Introduction

History

The Iranian Center for International Conferences was established in 1965 in order to serve as an expert body in affairs related International Community, Irans membership in international communities, identify the need for organizing international conferences in Iran and arrange for Iranian delegations to participate in regional or international conferences and events.

At that point, an independent center under Iranian Center for International Conferences (I.C.I.C) was constituted. Up until the Islamic Revolution, the Center had organized several events namely the Human Rights Conference and the Asian Games in Tehran. The Iranian Center for International Conferences was incorporated in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Center is currently incumbent upon arranging the meetings and conferences and put the capacities of the center to effective use in organizing international conferences.

The Iranian Center for International Conferences has organized over 300 international events at presidential, ministerial and expert levels.

This Center is currently the sole body authorized to organize international evens and conferences and due to its massive capacities in terms of possessing dexterous expert in political, economic, scientific, cultural, religious, sport and . . . affairs, the Center is capable of planning and organizing any kind of event of various dimensions, at different levels and budgets.

The Iranian Center for International Conferences is in possession of various halls, residential areas, special amenities and great potentials for organizing decent international events worthy of the name of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

Capacities

  • 1- A conference hall with a capacities of 500 persons
  • 2- Secretariat equipped with integrated computer systems, internet, fax, phone lines and high speed Xerox machines
  • 3- Journalism Hall, equipped with integrated computer systems, internet, fax, phone lines and high speed Xerox machines
  • 4- Amphitheater with a capacity of 300 persons
  • 5- 5 halls with capacities between 30 to 70 person for holding conference committees
  • 6- Press conference hall with a capacity of 70 persons
  • 7- Reception hall offering various kinds of Iranian and foreign foods with a capacity of 600 guests
  • 8- Real-time translation system for every hall in two types of DCN system (450 headsets available) and Ica 600 (300 headsets available)
  • 9- Residential and guesthouses for high ranking dignitaries with capacity of 50 guests (three bedroom suites)
  • 10- Sport facilities such as; Squash courts, swimming pool, body building saloon, ping pong
  • 11- Printing equipments

 

Museum

On an initiative by Dr. Seyyed Kamal Kharazi, the then Minister of Foreign Affairs, a museum was set up at the Iranian Center for International Conferences to exhibit the gifts donated to him by high ranking dignitaries and officials of other countries.

This exquisite collection denotes the friendly relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with other countries and the diversity of gifts is indeed a symbol of cultural diversity and different aspects of civilization and art all across the world. The museum houses various types of dishes, coins, medals, souvenirs, swords, daggers, pens, valuable frames.
